Transcranial Random Noise Stimulation equipment is segmented into low-bandwidth (< 500 Hz) and high-bandwidth (500โ1 000 Hz) devices, where high-bandwidth variants captured 49 % of 2023 dollar sales driven by superior efficacy in accelerating stroke motor recovery through stochastic resonance mechanisms. Unit economics, however, still favour low-bandwidth systems in emerging economies where stroke rehabilitation programmes are price-sensitive. From an application perspective, stroke accounts for 45 % of the tRNS market, depression for 27 %, and fibromyalgia, an emerging label, for 12 %. Regulatory clearance for post-stroke aphasia in Japan and expanded CMS coverage for chronic pain are expected to re-balance the mix, pushing stroke share past 50 % by 2028 and reinforcing the clinical rationale for high-bandwidth tRNS within the broader tDCS, tACS and tRNS market taxonomy.
