Application-based High Precision Mapping Catheter segmentation isolates atrial fibrillation (AF), ventricular tachycardia (VT), atrial flutter (AFL) and WPW/accessory pathway ablation, each exerting distinct demand drivers on the market taxonomy. AF consumes over half of global catheter value because the procedure entails wide-area circumferential ablation with real-time lesion assessment—requirements that only high-density, force-sensing catheters reliably satisfy. VT mapping, though lower in volume, exhibits the fastest ASP inflation since surviving patients often present with scar-mediated re-entry circuits that demand panoramic, ultra-high-density maps; centres therefore accept double the catheter cost to cut redo rates. AFL and WPW represent reference niches: AFL benefits from non-contact baskets to identify cavo-tricuspid isthmus conduction gaps, whereas WPW cases pivot to smaller French-size catheters capable of steering into difficult accessory pathways. Collectively, these four clinical applications define procurement cycles, reimbursement coding and, ultimately, the addressable market for high-precision electrophysiology hardware.
